I am a social anthropologist and a project manager.
My research and current work is situated at the intersection between anthropology, development, cultural heritage and digital media.
During my PhD at the Business School of London Metropolitan University, I conducted an ethnographic fieldwork in India using anthropological and visual methods (photography) to follow the implementation of a EU funded project in rural villages of West Bengal (India). The project aimed at creating sustainable livelihoods based on local cultural expressions and intangible cultural heritage. I spent most of my PhD fieldwork observing and living in Purulia region (West Bengal) with local communities of Purulia Chhau dancers and their families.
I have worked as humanitarian Project Manager and researcher in India, Africa and Haiti, with variety of clients (NGOs, foundations, universities). Livelihoods, CBOs, post emergency needs assessment have been my fields of work. As well as project proposal writings activities for non profit sector.
Since 2012, I work as consultant and provide my knowledge and expertise to research international development actions, writing project proposals and help their communication efforts.
In 2013 I co-founded a non profit cultural association called Le Nius working for quality, in-depth reporting news and, beyond news, promoting accessible digital media education and communication skills for third sector organisations and non profit projects.
I became a pro at communicating projects and organisations, researching their communities and help to connect with them.
I have made it my mission to help people, their projects and organisations to communicate their value and connect with their possible communities (online and offline).
If any of your interests resonate with mine, I would love to hear from you!
